Bitcoin Slots Basics
Online Bitcoin slot machines work just like offline slot machines. However, there is one big difference with online casinos; they offer free to play. In fact, some popular offline slot machines have been converted for online play. You still have the same goals to win. You spin the slot and hope for a chance to win a prize by lining-up different symbols or icons.
Most Bitcoin slot machines offer a free to play service. This is a great way for beginners to learn about slot machines. You will be able to play the game without investing money on it initially. When you already got the hang of how it works, you can proceed to play with real money so you can feel the rush of winning real cash.
Since online Bitcoin slots work just like the brick and mortar slot machines. There are certain terminologies that beginners may not be acquainted with. The following are a few of the popular slot machine terminologies:
- Symbol – this refers to the different pictures that spin with the disk. You want to form them in special combinations to win. The winning combinations are already pre-determined according to the online slot game.
- Reels – It is the disk where the symbols are placed. When you hit “spin”, the disc spins. When it stops, the symbols are then checked to see if you win anything.
- Payout – the term refers to the prize that the player will receive every time he or she wins a spin.
- Pay Line – the term refers to the line that corresponds to a prize.
- Progressive Jackpot – the term refers to the amount of prize or money that continuously increases as he or she hits a winning game. Until the jackpot is hit, the progressive jackpot continues to grow.

Popular Slot Machine Variations
Online Bitcoin slot machines also incorporate game variations that are present in brick and mortar online slot machines such as multiple payout slots and multi-line slots.
With multi-line slots, you are able to access multiple lines that give you the opportunity to win prizes. Since these kinds of online Bitcoin slot machines have many lines, your chance of forming a winning combination also increases. These kinds of slot machines are becoming a staple since a lot of players prefer them compared to traditional single line slot machines.
Multiple payout is a Bitcoin slot machine variation in which the player increases the payout if he or she adds additional coins every time the player wins. This means if you win and do not add coins, you will not be able to give yourself the opportunity to increase your payout if you do win.
Conclusion
Online Bitcoin slots work just the same with brick and mortar slot machines with unique advantages. They are fun and exciting, and you can play with them in the convenience of your home while wearing pajamas.
Booting from an alternate boot disk on Sun SPARC systems
If the root disk is encapsulated and mirrored, you can use one of its mirrors to boot the system if the primary boot disk fails.
On a Sun SPARC system, booting from an alternate boot disk requires that some EEPROM settings are changed.
A Sun SPARC® system prompts for a boot command unless the autoboot flag has been set in the nonvolatile storage area used by the firmware. Machines with older PROMs have different prompts than that for the newer V2 and V3 versions. These newer versions of PROM are also known as OpenBoot PROMs (OBP). The boot command syntax for the newer types of PROMs is:
The OBP names specify the OpenBoot PROM designations. For example, on Desktop SPARC systems, the designation sbus/esp@0,800000/sd@3,0:a indicates a SCSI disk (sd) at target 3, lun 0 on the SCSI bus, with the esp host bus adapter plugged into slot 0.
You can use Veritas Volume Manager boot disk alias names instead of OBP names. Example aliases are vx-rootdisk or vx-disk01. To list the available boot devices, use the devalias command at the OpenBoot prompt.
The filename argument is the name of a file that contains the kernel. The default is /kernel/unix in the root partition. If necessary, you can specify another program (such as /stand/diag) by specifying the -a flag. (Some versions of the firmware allow the default filename to be saved in the nonvolatile storage area of the system.)
Warning: | Do not boot a system running VxVM with rootability enabled using all the defaults presented by the -a flag. |
Boot flags are not interpreted by the boot program. The boot program passes all boot-flags to the file identified by filename.

Check that the EEPROM variable use-nvramrc? is set to true. Enter the following command at the boot prompt:
If the system is up and running, enter the following command:
If use-nvramrc? is set to true, this allows the use of alternate boot disks.
If use-nvramrc? is set to false, the system fails to boot from the devalias and displays an error message such as the following:
Set the value of use-nvramrc? to true.
At the ok boot prompt, enter:
If the system is up and running, use the following command:
Define an alternate boot disk by entering the following command at the ok boot prompt:
where altboot_disk is the device name of an alternate disk from which the system can be booted.
If the system is already up and running, enter the following command to define an alternate boot disk:
Use the devalias command at the boot prompt to discover the alternate disks from which the system may be booted:
Suitable mirrors of the root disk are listed with names of the form vx-diskname.
You should now be able to boot the system from an alternate boot disk,
vx-altboot_disk
, by entering the following command at the ok boot prompt:If a selected disk contains a root mirror that is stale, vxconfigd displays an error stating that the mirror is unusable and lists any non-stale alternate bootable disks.
